Getting your knives, scissors, and tools professionally sharpened by Sharper Service is easy and convenient! Simply follow these steps and visit us at our drop-off location on the second floor of 191 Main Street in Ossining:
Option One: Complete an online ticket:
- Service Order: Complete the online registration and service ticket. Select a date for your service. Note your service ticket number.
- Visit Our Location: Head to 191 Main Street in Ossining and go up to the second floor. Wrap or package your items safely for transporting. Often a box is easy and safe way to transport sharp items.
- Drop-off: Write your ticket number or name on the box or tape to my plastic bin, and let me know by text or phone call that you dropped them off.
- Service: I will send a text and confirm the pricing when the services are finished.
- Easy Pick Up: Your sharpened items will be ready for pick up in the same hallway where you dropped them off. Typically items serviced on Wednesday are ready for pickup on Thursday morning.
- Payment Options: For your convenience, we accept several payment methods:
- Cash or Check: Please place your payment in an envelope and deposit it in the white mailbox located by the second-floor door.
- Digital Payments: We also accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and Apple Pay.
Option two: Without online registration:
- Confirm Service Date: Check this website or text 914-432-6648 to confirm the next available sharpening date, typically every Wednesday. You can print a service ticket with or without your contact information and service details from this web page.
- Visit Our Location: Head to 191 Main Street in Ossining and go up to the second floor. Wrap or package your items safely for transporting. Often a box is the easy and safe way to transport sharp items.
- Locate the Bench: At the top of the stairs, you’ll find a bench with clipboards.
- Service Ticket: If not completed in step one, each clipboard holds service tickets and has these same easy-to-follow instructions. Please complete a service ticket with your name, phone number, and email address so we can reach you. Be sure to note the total number of items you are dropping off.
- Secure Your Items and Ticket:
- Place your service ticket and all smaller items into one of the provided bins.
- For larger items that don’t fit in a bin, please use the tape available to clearly mark them with your name or service ticket number and place them carefully under the bench.
- If you bring your items in a bag or box, you can simply tape the service ticket securely to the outside.
- Notify Us: Once you’ve dropped off your items, please send a text message or give us a call at (914) 432-6648 to let us know you’ve left an order. This helps us ensure we process your sharpening promptly.
- Pricing and Notification: We’ll carefully assess your items and send you a text message with the total price once the sharpening is complete.
